Summer is here and all the flying insects are more active including wasps. If you or someone in your family is allergic it can be a real problem and can make spending time outside risky. Here is a trick I learned at a garden club meeting that worked for me:

Take a lunch size brown paper bag and stuff a little bit of something in it so you can twist it into a ball about the size of your fist. Flatten the bottom and draw some black dots on the flat surface. Tape up the twisted handle part and attach it somewhere that you have seen a nest before. It tricks the wasps by appearing that there's a nest already in the area and they move on.

I used this is in my greenhouse and I noticed a difference. Try it!
