Santa Fe Trail Ranch SW Fuelbreak Project

On January 31, 2023 the SFTR POA was informed that our application has been approved for funding in the amount of $75,000 for a treatment of 220 acres. The scope of work for this project, based upon our application, may be read by clicking on this underlined text: Santa Fe Trail Ranch Grant Pre-Award Letter and SOW. This grant is a 50/50 matching grant meaning that the SFTR POA agrees to provide $75,000 worth of matching funds or “In-kind” work.

The SFTR “In-kind” contribution, managed by the Forest Health and Wildfire Mitigation committee, will consist of the maintenance of the Gallinas Conservancy and the Mountain View fuel breaks and the completion of the Tall Oaks fuel break. Individual property owners are encouraged to contribute to this effort by contacting the FHWM committee to donate their cash, labor, and/or machinery.
